
The Burlington Area Garden Club Scholarship is offered annually by the Burlington Area Garden Club. Scholarship funds up to $1000 are available to part-time and full-time students in the Burlington, WI area planning to study plants or gardening in the following areas: botany, floral design, horticulture, or landscape architecture or design. Applicants from local area high schools including Burlington, Waterford, Catholic Central as well as Gateway Technical College are eligible. The Burlington Area Garden Club raises scholarship money with the annual plant sale, which is held in May, and with the biannual Garden Walk. Deadline for applications is May 1.

Offered to:
Applicants who wish to study plants or gardening in the following areas: Botany, Floral Design, Horticulture, or Landscape Architecture or Design.
Eligibility:
- Graduating seniors from Burlington High School, Catholic Central High School, Waterford High School or high schools in Kenosha and/or Racine County (west of I-94) or Walworth County (east of I-43) in Southeast Wisconsin.
- Students of Gateway Technical College or a post-secondary institution enrolled in one of the declared programs listed above, whom reside in Kenosha and/or Racine County (west of I-94) or Walworth County (east of I-43) in Southeast Wisconsin.
Requirements:
- Attend an accredited school, full-time (12 or more semester hours) or part-time (less than 12 semester hours)
- Residency in Burlington, WI or surrounding communities (as defined above)
- Meet requirements as stipulated on application.

Award:
Certificate and monetary award will be presented at a monthly meeting of the Burlington Area Garden Club.
