Every Winter Has Its Spring

Since our gardens are “sleeping” our club will take a winter break. There will be no formal monthly meetings in January and February 2024. We are looking forward to meetings in 2024 on wildflowers, roses and bees just to name a few. Our first meeting will be March 12, 2024 at the Senior Center. Please join us! Everyone is welcome!

2023 was an active year for us. We had a very successful plant sale, participated in the Waterford July 4 parade and had a beautiful garden tour. We continue to create fairy gardens at the library. The fairies had a camping area this year. I wonder what the fairies will have next year???? Look further on this website to learn more about our gardens we maintain!

We collaborated with Mangold Insurance in the Adopt a Park program at Riverside park providing plants, planting and edging. The outcome was a great improvement . The Garden Club had adopted Wehmhoff Park. Watch for something special and beautiful being added to the park in 2024.

We look forward to the coming year as we plant, we weed, and grow to beautify our community. We will have new officers for 2024 that will bring new ideas and leadership for the Garden Club.

Winter is a season of recovery and preparation. Every winter has its spring. And always remember, one kind word can warm 3 months of winter.

Wishing you all the joy of the season
